Umadte Sau Karod 2026 – Youth Pledge for Dignity & Equality

Rajsamand Jan Vikas Sansthan (Mahila Manch) organized a special awareness and public dialogue program under the banner of the "Umadte Sau Karod 2026" (Rising One Billion 2026) campaign. The initiative focused on the theme "My Body, My Right" and witnessed enthusiastic participation from 463 adolescents and young adults.

The program was graced by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Divair, Babulal Naroliya as the Chief Guest, while Sarpanch Bhanwar Singh presided over the event. Other distinguished guests included Headmaster Ganeshram Bunkar, Headmaster Mahendra Kumar, Advocate Jita Ram, and Devilal.

The event commenced with a formal welcome of the guests. Shakuntala Pamecha, Director of RJVS, introduced the organization and highlighted the objectives of the campaign. She explained that the initiative aims to raise awareness among youth about bodily rights, gender equality, dignity, consent, and safety. A major focus of the program was to encourage open and sensitive discussions around social issues such as body shaming.

Participants expressed their thoughts through creative activities such as slogan writing, poetry and spoken word performances, poster exhibitions, painting, and short plays. These activities helped initiate meaningful dialogue and encouraged youth to promote self-respect, acceptance, and equality in society.

Chief Guest SDO Babulal Naroliya emphasized that every individual has complete rights over their own body and that society must work collectively to eliminate discrimination and derogatory behavior. He encouraged young participants to adopt a positive mindset and actively contribute to addressing social challenges.

The program concluded with all participants taking a collective pledge to build a society that is free from violence and based on dignity, equality, and mutual respect.
