RJVS Celebrates 23rd Foundation Day with Focus on Women’s Justice and Empowerment

We celebrated our 23rd Foundation Day at Panchayat Sabhagar, Old Collectorate Campus, Rajnagar, in a dignified and vibrant atmosphere. The event was organized around the theme “Against Violence Towards Women, With Justice – Nari Adalat”, focusing on women’s rights, justice, and empowerment.

The program was graced by Shri Bharat Bhushan Ji, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, as the Chief Guest. Representatives and social partners from Ajmer, Ahmedabad, Chittorgarh, Bhim, and Udaipur also participated in the event.

On this occasion, our Director, Ms. Shakuntala Pamecha, shared the inspiring 23-year journey of Rajsamand Jan Vikas Sansthan and Rajsamand Mahila Manch. She highlighted the work carried out through the Nari Adalat initiative over the past two decades, including interventions in cases related to domestic violence, child marriage, social discrimination, and women’s rights.

Women associated with Nari Adalat shared their experiences and reflected on how community-based leadership and women’s collectives have played a significant role in ensuring justice, building confidence, and strengthening women’s voices at the grassroots level. Discussions were also held on women’s leadership development, participation in local governance, and positive social transformation within communities.

During the event, we also released a research report based on complaints registered in Nari Adalat over the last 23 years, along with a documentary showcasing its experiences, struggles, and impact in advancing women’s access to justice and empowerment.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Bharat Bhushan Ji emphasized the important role of community institutions and initiatives like Nari Adalat in ensuring justice for women. He also highlighted the need for greater legal awareness and sensitivity towards women’s rights in society.
