Rajsamand Jan Vikas Sansthan’s livelihood programs focused on women from rural areas in Rajsamand district. It is our belief that economic empowerment is essential before rural women can realize total empowerment.
In its income generation, training is given to the women in several skills such as patchwork, making of the incense stick, detergent powder, floor cleaner, soap, mushroom cultivation, stitching, etc.
We also help them to improve their skills and maximize their income and support in getting loans from banks if necessary. Moreover, RJVS helps and encourages rural women to enroll in MNREGA by making job cards and providing training to become mates. With the support of external agency RJVS provided pump sets and pipes to 118 poor and tribal families from the two Villages each of the Railmagra, Khamnore blocks in the district. It helped them to access water for irrigation in their farmlands. This is an excellent example of the economic empowerment of the whole community. We are currently exploring a few more skills and training in these areas to have a quantum jump in the near future.
