Location: Mt. Sterling, IL.

Department: Dot Transportation, Inc

Reports To: Customer Delivery Manager

Wage Range: $16.19-$23.06

As a Transportation Specialist-Logistics, you will provide support to the Transportation Department in coordination with customers, suppliers, drivers, and other Dot/DTI employees.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Schedules customer delivery and supplier pickup appointments
• Enters information to update file maintenance systems
• Supports Customer Service, Replenishment, Routing, and Dispatch teams on scheduling related processes
• Provides excellent customer service to external scheduling contacts
• Participates in continuous improvement projects
• Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

YOU MUST HAVE

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, etc.
• Experience working in fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

• Administrative or clerical experience
• Effective professional verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills

ROLE SPECIFICS

• Schedule: Monday – Friday. Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Works in both a team environment and on individual tasks
• Utilize data analysis and interpretation
