Job Description
Superintendent - Commercial Projects, Retail, Office, Upfits Key Responsibilities - Manage daily operations, safety and signage on the job site, ensuring project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project staff to ensure efficient workflow and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes and delays.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Review and interpret blueprints and project specifications to ensure accurate execution of project plans.
- Assist in contract negotiation processes, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential issues that may arise during construction.
- Lead and mentor site personnel, promoting a culture of safety and teamwork throughout the project.
Qualifications - 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Willingness to travel within the region
- Skills with related industry software: Procore
- Familiarity with cost estimation and budget management processes is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
