TEXTILE DESIGNER/ PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Position Type: Full-Time/ Onsite

Job Department: Pillows (Decorative Pillows, table linens, kitchen textiles)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create production-ready artwork that is cleaned, indexed, and in repeat.
• Create detailed tech packs and specification sheets for all developments.
• Communicate with factories in China & India daily and throughout the development process- from initial inspiration through production.
• Understand and organize pricing from factories and communicate target sales cost.
• Review strike-offs and development samples for color and quality.
• Conceptual and creative support; help create cohesive product presentations including boards, CADs, presentations, and samples to help sell concepts to customers.
• Adhere to due dates for all stages of design process.
• Arrange samples/ showroom set up
• Assist in meetings and communcation with buyers, customers, sales teams, production teams.
• Performs related tasks as assigned

COMPETENCIES

• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and keep multiple projects organized at once.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and database administration.
• Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Textile design skills include surface design, layout, pattern repeats, indexing artwork.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

3+ years of experience in the soft home/ interiors industry.
