Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze and review shop drawings to determine how a specific job needs to be assembled.
• Collaborate with fabricators and give them feedback of how they can help the assembly department.
• Collaborate with the fabricators and management to improve efficiency.
• Working with pneumatic hand tools, files, adhesives, sanders
• Operate bending machines from trim capping
• Complete production assignments in the time frame allocated unless unforeseen obstacles occur that prevent the work from being completed. Immediate communication is required with Production Lead and/or Production Manager in cases of delays or scope modifications.
• Looks for ways to complete assignments expediently while not sacrificing quality, customer service or safety.
• Finds ways to be productive throughout the day and complete assignments without hesitation or error.
• Maintain equipment or tools to preserve the life expectancy.
• Inspect all items before and after assembly to ensure quality is meeting the standard.
• Move and lift different items from paint to assembly and assembly to storage.
• Work on ladders, scissor lift, floor.
• Complete each job knowing customer expectations are met.

Must Haves:

• High School diploma or GED, a few years out of high school
• Experience with electrical (low voltage or wiring experience)
• Any experience welding

Plusses:

• Fields – General carpentry, custom fabrication, welding, woodworking, model car experience
• Forklift or Scissor Lift experience and/or certification
• Problem solver who can envision the end-product and make it real
• Knowledge of mig welding, tig welding, or laser welding.
