Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Repair Technician responsible for the repair and rebuilding of various customer equipment, including but not limited to centrifugal pumps, vertical turbines, positive displacement pumps, air-operated pumps, vacuum pumps, blowers, gearboxes, and mixers/agitators. The technician plays a vital role in maintaining high service quality in support of our sales objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections, repairs, and service of industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
  • Develop a coordinated work schedule in collaboration with the Service Manager.
  • Provide onsite support for repairs at customer facilities, strictly adhering to safety protocols and operational policies.
  • Safely operate company-owned vehicles and service trucks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following companie's safety regulations and using necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Travel as required for training or customer assistance, including overnight stays, with the company covering approved travel expenses.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Language Skills: Proficient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence, as well as effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from both managers and employees.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding percentages and decimals.

  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in using computers and internet software is required.

  • Certifications and Licenses: A valid driver’s license with no points is required.

  • Equipment Operated: Experience operating forklifts, hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools, drills, band saws, drill presses, lathes, and mills.

Physical Demands:

This position demands physical strength typically associated with very heavy work. Candidates must be able to lift over 100 pounds occasionally and over 50 pounds frequently. Physical activities include climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching overhead, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Specific vision abilities include the capacity to adjust vision to focus sharply on objects and maintain a wide field of vision.
