Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a strategic PR Manager to join our Grocery Communications team, focusing on issues management for Whole Foods Market and protecting customer trust in Amazon's grocery offerings. The team is seeking a high-judgment, seasoned public relations professional who will own the daily management of reactive and strategic communications plans for a diverse and challenging range of customer trust and reputation topics for Whole Foods Market including – but not limited to – food safety, employee and customer experience, store issues, supply chain challenges, etc.

In this role, you will work effectively in global organization, quickly building effective cross-functional working relationships across teams and executive stakeholders, managing media, and advising and driving alignment on high-stakes matters. Key job responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day reactive media inquiries for Whole Foods Market, working directly with reporters and deep-diving with colleagues, demonstrating high judgement and professionalism

• Develop forward-looking scenario plans for emerging issues
• Formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative to express it
• Manage diverse stakeholders including executives, store teams, suppliers, and community partners, with a strong ability to drive consensus and manage feedback quickly
• Work closely with public policy and legal teams on issues relevant to regulators and policymakers
• Collaborate with PR colleagues globally
• Help manage external support agencies, as necessary
