Pizza Kitchen Cook.

About the Job: 

Schilling is seeking a Pizza Kitchen (PK) line cook to build and bake wood-fired pizzas. The ideal candidate has a positive and team-oriented attitude, cares about the quality of their work, and is willing to work quickly and with accuracy. Experience on a pizza building and baking line is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidates if necessary. Must have reliable transportation to/from work.

Expectations & Duties:

• Fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Maintain and operate a clean and organized kitchen/ work area.
• Follow food service guidelines and comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaboration with the team and management ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Work on a pizza building and baking line with colleagues, baking wood-fired pizzas, starting fires, applying toppings, etc.
• Execute different menu items and prep items for the menu during shifts.
• Occasionally assist in the prep kitchen as required.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role possesses:

• A positive, upbeat attitude and a friendly demeanor, including during fast-paced service. 
• Willingness to support in various ways beyond the kitchen when/if needed (organizing, cleaning, restocking, etc.).
• Strong initiative–i.e. going above and beyond without being asked– a passion for details, and delivering exceptional results.
• Multi-tasking capabilities suitable for a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to lift approximately 50-60 lbs.
• Open and flexible availability to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends/holidays.
• The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour to start, plus sales-based gratuities, with advancement after 3 months for hard-working and dependable employees.
