Job Description

Position Overview

The client is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal with a strong proofreading and document review background to support the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program. This role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and compiling contractual documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings excellent reading and writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and prior experience in a legal or contract-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft BEAD Master Subgrant Agreements using established template agreements for review by IBO legal counsel.
  • Assist IBO staff in collecting required attachments, exhibits, certifications, appendixes, and other documents identified in the conditions precedent clause of the Master Subgrant Agreement.
  • Review submitted documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with agreement requirements.
  • Compile, organize, and support the execution of BEAD Master Subgrant Agreements.
  • Perform additional administrative and document-related tasks as assigned in support of contract drafting and execution.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role with a strong emphasis on proofreading and document review.
  • Solid grammatical and written proofreading skills (not high-level legal or literary editing).
  • Preference for candidates with experience working in a legal, compliance, or contract-based setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong reading and writing abilities with the capacity to manage multiple documents accurately.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.

Hours: 10–15 hours per week

Contract Length: 3 months (no conversion, opportunity for extension)

Work Model: Primarily remote; one in-office day required for training
