  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the network engineering team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in networking and security.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network and systems-related incidents and outages as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and implement new technologies and solutions.
  • Educate and provide CEIT leadership with requirements to address gaps leading to overall network and systems resiliency.
  • Occasional visits to our larger offices located in San Francisco, New York, Seattle and Montreal.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network and/or systems engineering roles, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level networks and systems.
  • Expertise in routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs SD-WAN, and VPN technologies. Experience supporting a Tailscale mesh is a plus!
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba networking equipment and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure access controls.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as Logic Monitor and Netbox. Experience with on-premise and cloud technologies including AWS and vSphere.
  • Experience with Terraform is a plus!
  • Experience operating networks and the systems that support them.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
