Job Description

Drive Local! A Piqua company is seeking a dedicated and skilled, Lugger Truck Driver, who is able to operate other yard trucks & tractors. Driver must have a Class A, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for this full-time position with ample overtime opportunities @ $30 per hour and benefits. Schedule: 1st shift, Monday thru Friday with local pick ups and deliveries.

Duties:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials to designated locations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of containers.
  • Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to navigate the greater Dayton area.
  • Yard work.
  • Forklift experience a plus.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Home Phone or Cell.
  • A Valid Driver’s License.
  • Your Own Transportation.
  • A Clean Background with NOFelony Conviction.
  • Able to Pass an Employment Drug Screen.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in route driving with knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
  • Semi Roll-Off/Dump or Straight Truck Lugger and Roll-off experience.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred but not mandatory.
