Job Title – Lateral Conflicts Analyst 
100% remote, required to be in office on an as-needed
Full Time, Non-Exempt
Pay –DOE
Work Schedule: 9AM to 5:30 PM or 10AM to 6:30 PM (Local Time)

Job Summary of the Conflicts Analyst position
Hiring a Conflicts Analyst to work under the Conflicts & Laterals Manager and in-house General Counsel reports on potential conflicts of interest relating to matter intake and lateral hiring.

Responsibilities of the Conflicts Analyst position
Analyze potential conflicts of interest for further review/resolution by Manager of Lateral Conflicts and in-house attorneys.
Conduct factual research using internal and external resources, which may include researching corporate relationships (using LexisNexis, D&B, web publications and similar public databases) and discussions with attorneys and/or legal support staff to gather information and/or clarification regarding a party or matter.
Perform conflicts research, database maintenance, data entry, and special projects, as needed.
Respond to inquiries timely and effectively.
Collaborate with lateral attorneys in General Counsel to research, analyze, resolve conflicts of interest.
Review lateral candidate conflict submissions and intake forms and ensure completeness and accuracy.
Review searches and reports for clients, matters, lateral attorney candidates, using the Firm’s conflicts and intake databases.
Articulate in writing the key findings in the form of a summary or report.
Monitor and address all incoming email to shared department email inbox for urgent requests.

Requirements of the Conflicts Analyst position
Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years within lateral conflicts administration, clearing/resolving conflicts at a mid-to-large law firm
Experience with clearing/resolving conflicts (i.e. reviewing engagement letters and contacting partners)
Experience with database search systems such as Elegrity (now iManage), E-VALUATE LegalKey, Intapp, or similar Conflicts administration software
Basic typing skills (at least 40 wpm)
Proficiency with Office Suite; Outlook, Word and Excel
Ability to compile, review, filter, synthesize, and interpret
Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and make decisions when appropriate
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the rules of conduct regarding conflicts of interest
Strong research skills using internal and external resources.
Proven aptitude to quickly learn new applications
Organizational skills, including the ability to produce high quality work with minimal supervision
Ability to work effectively with attorneys and staff at all levels
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to go into the office on an as-needed basis
Able to work overtime as needed
