Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior-Level
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with a focus on land development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects related to residential, commercial, and industrial land development.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare site layout, grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and stormwater management design.
- Coordinate with architects, surveyors, environmental consultants, and local agencies.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in permitting processes and attend public hearings or meetings as needed.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers or CAD technicians.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- Proficiency in site design software such as Civil 3D and/or Carlson Civil Suite,
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, and stormwater modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, 110).
- Strong understanding of zoning codes, permitting processes, and land use regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills - Experience with GIS tools and software.
- Familiarity with LEED or sustainable site design practices.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Large single family Subdivision design
