Hardware Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA, USA

Duration: 12Months

Overview: As a Hardware Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test hardware components , perform optical characterization , and support prototype assembly for Client’s advanced hardware products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate hardware components and systems.
• Perform optical metrology and display characterization on prototype hardware.
• Assemble and set up test jigs and customized test stations.
• Collaborate with product, design, and manufacturing teams to meet project milestones.
• Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis of hardware issues.
• Support lab management, data collection, and user study demos.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with Meta’s quality, safety, and operational standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering , or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in hardware design and development .
• Basic knowledge of display optical characterization and troubleshooting .
• Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic systems .
• Experience with CAD tools and hardware simulation software .
• Basic data analysis skills (e.g., Excel, Python, or similar tools).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-driven with the ability to follow through independently on assigned tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with display driving and testing systems .
• Background in optical metrology and hardware characterization .
• Familiarity with custom test station development .
