Our client, a well-known fashion/lifestyle brand, is seeking a E-Commerce Site Merchant to join their team on a contract basis in New York City.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Overseeing women's apparel, accessories, and underwear merchandising execution
• Ensures product displays engage and convert customers, directly affecting sales.
• Leadership in strategy development and presentation to key stakeholders (buying, marketing, and ecommerce).
• Strategies influence the entire website's merchandising success, shaping customer experience and commercial results.
• Weekly analysis and presentation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and top-performing products.
• Guides departmental decisions, informs leadership, and drives strategic pivots.
• Maintains day-to-day merchandising activities and consistency across platforms.
• Ensures ongoing strategic oversight to keep marketing and operations aligned.
• Continues the flow of critical performance insights.
• Ability to develop and own site merchandising and content strategies that align with product buys and drive sales/conversion.
• Experience in product story-telling and content initiatives that support the brand message.
• Proficient in interpreting and reacting to site KPIs to achieve sales goals.
• Skilled in measuring, monitoring, and communicating the effectiveness of strategies in relation to business objectives.

Skills:

• Experience with managing merchandising set-up/sequencing in Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Capable of conducting site monitoring and resolving content/product issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze weekly business performance to drive sales through site optimizations, emails, or promotions.
• Experience in providing insights and reports on site performance metrics to leadership.
• Capable of handling multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
• Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently and in group projects with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated and confident with decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage up, down, and across within the organization to achieve positive results.
• Proficient in Excel and has substantial ecommerce merchandising experience
