Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with data to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role will involve collecting, cleaning, and interpreting data to help us understand our customers, optimize our operations, and achieve our strategic goals. The Data Analyst will provide data analysis through the development of new reporting and visualizations within Power BI.

This role assists with application canned reporting by creating, managing, and optimizing these standardized reports for recurring business needs, ensuring they provide consistent and actionable insights from carefully selected data. They ensure the reports are accurate, relevant, and effectively delivered to stakeholders, improving decision-making by transforming raw data into reliable, easy-to-understand summaries of key business metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create advanced data visualizations and dashboards and reports in Power Bi.
  • Collect, process, and perform statistical analyses of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, safety, finance) to understand their data needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stay up to date with industry’s best practices and new technologies in data analysis.
  • Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Background in data engineering and data visualization along with experience in Agile project management methodologies.
  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines by following ETL principles and business goals.
  • Define data requirements, gather and mine large-scale structured and unstructured data, and validate data using various tools.
  • Perform data manipulation and queries using SQL independently.
  • Participate in the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging tools and processes for analytic data engineering to improve productivity.
  • Partner with business analysts and solutions architects to assist in the development of technical architecture for strategic enterprise projects and initiatives.
  • Implement statistical data quality procedures on new data sources by applying rigorous iterative data analytics.
  • Advise, consult and coach other data and analytic professionals on data standards and practices.
  • Has solid knowledge of industry practices and contributes to departmental projects and goals, often engaging in frequent internal and external interactions.
  • Occasionally lead small project teams and provide informal guidance to junior staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience integrating core applications like the ERP, asset management, project management and other SaaS applications, to each other and downstream applications.
  • Experience with SSIS, .Net, iPaaS (Snaplogic) or similar platforms for building data integration and workflow applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Strong SQL knowledge for querying and transforming data.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data services (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure).
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and data modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts and emerging technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Workday or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, AWS) is a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques.
  • Experience with a scripting language like Python or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Knowledge or experience in the construction industry a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing application, implementation, and integration teams.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing application and integration strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of various enterprise application architectures (e.g., ERP, CRM, HCM) and integration technologies (e.g., APIs, ESB, ETL).
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and integration platforms (e.g., SaaS, iPaaS).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant compliance and security standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with industry applications relevant to Construction business is a plus.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, ITIL).
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and integration platforms.
