Job Description

Our client, a national, full-service, AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of commercial litigation experience to join their national practice group. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a litigation-focused firm, recognized by Vault as a leader in Associate experience and mentorship, where you will gain valuable experience in business disputes, mass torts, and complex insurance coverage cases.

Role Responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and related proceedings.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery documents with precision and strategic insight.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client counseling.
• Manage depositions, hearings, and trial preparation in collaboration with partners.
• Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to the New York/New Jersey Bar (or eligibility for admission).
• 3-6 years of experience in commercial litigation
• Prior experience working on insurance coverage cases is highly preferred (but not required)
• Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle multiple matters in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated interest in high-stakes litigation and client service excellence.
